This past week in kindergarten was Red Ribbon Week. The scholars had a great time dressing up and learning about how to further future and avoid the many dangerous paths they could potentially face. Throughout the week we discussed where we wanted to go to college, what our favorite hobbies are, and what we want to be when we grow up. Each day scholars got to dress up in order to further the celebration.
To cap off the week, Cannon's marvelous PTA hosted the first ever Cub Dash. Scholars had the opportunity to raise money for the school through a fund raiser and participate in an exhilarating obstacle course Friday afternoon. This activity was such a fun activity for all of the scholars and myself. I was so impressed with the athletic ability of each scholar. I might be biased, but I believe our class is really skilled in every area across the board, form athletics to academics.
Each scholar was able to participate in a giant obstacle course for several minutes. In addition, they each received a shirt and a water bottle. It was such a happy day. I am certain I will not forget it for a long while.
The fun is still not over! If you would like to make a donation through Cub Dash, it is open until November 4th.
