This week has been National Engineering Week. We have had a wonderful time exploring the various roles of engineers in our community. Not only have we studied their roles, we have acted as these engineers as well. There will be a separate post with details about our engineers rotation. However, today we had a special treat to celebrate Engineering week!
Representatives from the Perot Museum brought a variety of engaging activities to our library. We spent the afternoon exploring and creating at a variety of stations. Students were able to play at the "Makey Makey Arcade," design a parachute to float in a wind tunnel, and create a vehicle out of cardboard, popsicle sticks, plastic lids, and tape.
Scholars had such a wonderful time with this unique experience! It was such a fun way to celebrate Engineering week!
