The week prior to our Thanksgiving break, we engaged in our Push, Pull, Go Unit. In this unit, scholars studied force and motion. Scholars studied how a force, a push or a pull, causes various types of motion. Scholars constructed various models to demonstrate how a force causes objects to roll, swing, tumble, and spin. After studying these types of motion in relation to its force, we invited our families to join in the engineering process. Scholars worked together with their families to construct their own version of a Rube Goldberg machine. Scholars combined different variations of their models they had constructed in class throughout the previous days to demonstrate their knowledge of force and motion. Family engineering night was truly a wonderful night filled with hard work, laughter, and lots of learning. Thank you families for joining us on this special night!
